Vegetarian Spaghetti Bolognese Sauce Recipe

Although this is an Italian recipe but it is widely adapted by Asian countries now. The easiest way to make Bolognese sauce will be by buying the ready made sauce in bottle which just needs to be sautéed with onion else doing the old fashioned way is also welcomed.

Here is the recipe for two people, for old way recipe seekers.

Ingredients:
A handful Spaghetti
1 large Bombay onions – sliced
5 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons cooking oil
500 ml Tomato paste
300 ml water
1 teaspoon oregano herbs
1 teaspoon thyme herbs
Salt to taste
Crushed Corn Pepper to taste
300 grams button mushroom – half it
50 grams grated cheese

Method:
Boil water in the pan and add in the cooking oil. Cook spaghetti and use fork to test whether it is cooked. The ancient way of testing cooked spaghetti is throwing a strand to the tile wall and if it sticks then it is cooked. Just kidding, my aunt from England thought me this way and use to practice during my Teenage cooking exploration time. Strain the water from spaghetti and leave it aside.

Next to make the Bolognese sauce recipe, sauté onion in olive oil until it is golden brown. Add in the halved button mushrooms and stir the ingredients. Then add in the tomato paste, herbs, salt and pepper while stirring the ingredients. Then, pour in the water and let the sauce to simmer. Stir till the water evaporates and mixed as a thick sauce.

Finally, rinse spaghetti in warm water and serve in a plate topped with Vegetarian Bolognese sauce and dressed with grated cheese.
