Durian Health Benefits and Medicinal Uses

Durian is known as the “King of Fruits” in South East Asia. Durian is a spiky fruit with thorns all over. The fruit inside is with seed and comes in yellow or white colour. The smell is so strong and pungent that many people not from tropical countries does not favour this fruit. Durian grows widely in South East Asia country especially in Thailand, Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia. Do not forget to drink a lot of plain water after eating durian as it is heaty for body. Usually Mangosteen fruit which is cooling is consumed right after eating Durian. Can we eat durian and drink alcohol? The answer is no as there is reaction which can cause death fatality.

Durian fruit can be eaten as it is when it is ripen. Durian is used as flavouring for Ice Kacang, Dodol, Candy and rose biscuits. Durian flavour is also used for milk shakes and ice cream.
