This is a traditional Indian dessert which is favoured by sweet-tooth. White sugar can be replaced with brown sugar or the quantity can be reduced based on your daily sugar intake.
Ingredients:
30 Almonds
100 grams sugar cane sugar
250 ml fresh cow’s milk
1/4 teaspoon Cardamom powder
2 Pistachio nut crushed or Cashew nut
3 Saffron thread
Method:
Soak the almonds in warm water and remove the skins. Grind the almonds into smooth paste. Heat up the pan in slow fire and add sufficient water to boil the almond paste. Add the sugar slowly and let it dissolve and stir well. Remove the pan from fire and add milk, cardamom powder. Top up with crushed pistachio nut and saffron thread before serving. Can be served hot or cold.
