This recipe has most of the nutrients needed for daily consumption. Additional fruits and yoghurt will complete it as wholesome meal.
Ingredients :
1 Cup Basmati Rice
1 Big Onion
1 inch Ginger
1 Green Chilli
1 Tablespoon briyani powder
1 Garlic
1 Cup Mix Vegetables (Carrot,peas and cauliflowers)
Salt to taste
1 Cinnamon
1 Clove
1 Bay leaf
2 Tablespoon Ghee
2 Cups Fresh Water
1/4 Cup Roasted Cashew Nuts
Method:
Soak rice for half an hour prior to cooking. Blend ginger, onion, garlic, chilli and briyani powder to paste. Add ghee in a pan and let it melt, then add cinnamon, clove and bay leaf while stirring. Next, mix the blended paste and stir slightly before adding vegetables to the mixture. Then add rice and salt to taste. Next, add water to the mixture and stir them together. Close the pan with lid and let the rice to cook. Finally, sprinkle cashew nuts and serve hot.
