Ingredients for Pesto
1 pound linguine noodles
2 cups fresh basil leaves
5 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1/3 cup chopped almonds
3/4 cup Parmesan cheese
Salt to taste
Crushed black pepper as preferred
Method
Blend basil leaves, olive oil, chopped almonds, cheese, salt and pepper in blender. Blend until it is a thick sauce.
Add linguine to boiling water in a pot and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Boil linguine for about 10 minutes until the pasta is cooked. Drain the water from pasta and rinse it in cold water. Serve pasta in a warm serving dish with pesto sauce over the pasta. Serve pasta immediately while its warm.
