Ingredients :
1 Cup Basmati Rice
2 Cups Plain Water
1 Big Onions chopped
1 Bay Leaf
2 Carrots – grated
Salt to taste
1 Teaspoon Oil
1 Teaspoon Butter
1/2 Teaspoon Tumeric Powder
1 Teaspoon Cumin Powder
1 Teaspoon Coriander Powder
Red chilli Powder to taste
Fresh Cilantro leaves – chopped
Method:
Cook Basmati Rice and mix it with butter while letting it to cool down.Heat pan with oil, add bay leaf, Onion & fry till light brown. Add grated carrots, stir lightly, mix in spice powders & salt. Stir till carrot is cooked and change to bright orange colour. Garnish with chopped fresh Cilantro leaves and serve hot.
