Peas is low in calories and can be a good food for people trying to lose weight. Peas is also high in fiber which is good for people suffering from constipation. Green peas is high in Vitamin B6.
Ingredients :
1 Cup Basmati Rice
1 Cup Peas
1 Big Onion – sliced
1/2 inch Ginger – chopped
1 green Chillies – sliced
Salt to taste
1 Teaspoon brown sugar
1 Cinnamon
1 Clove
2 Bay leaf
Coriander – chopped
2 Tablespoon Ghee
2 Cups Water
Method:
Soak Basmati rice in water for half an hour before cooking. Add ghee in pan and stir fry bay leaf,cinnamon and cloves. Then, add ginger, green chilli, onion, peas and stir. After that, add rice without water, salt and sugar and mix the ingredients. Then pour in 2 cups of water and let it cook. Finally, add chopped corriander and serve the rice.
