Couscous Recipe With Spicy Tomato And Carrot Gravy

 

Couscous is an alternative to rice consumption. Rice contains carbohydrate and sugar which is harder to be digested as you get older due to sickness such as Diabetes and High Blood pressure. Including couscous in diet and avoiding rice from early age helps to lead a healthy life.

 

Ingredients:

1 cup couscous

2 cups water

¼ teaspoon sea salt

5 tablespoon tomato puree

2 shallots sliced

½ cup diced fresh carrots

1 tablespoon oil

Salt to taste

1 ½ tablespoon dried chilli flakes

 

Method:

Cook the couscous first by boiling water in a saucepan and add the couscous. Remove the couscous from the fire and let it cool down for 5 minutes. Couscous should be light and fluffy; you may use yours hands to air the Couscous.
